Joel Conte is Professor in the Department of Structural Engineering at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD). His main research activities and interests are in the areas of: structural analysis and dynamics, structural reliability and risk analysis, performance-based earthquake engineering, probabilistic design, earthquake engineering, structural health monitoring, and experimental structural dynamics. He has published over 110 papers in international journals and conferences. He is an Associate Editor for the ASCE Journal of Engineering Mechanics and member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Reliability and Safety. He is a Co-PI of the National Science Foundation George E. Brown, Jr., Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES) site at UCSD. Further information can be found here.
