ROSE School Faculty awarded with EGU Plinius Medal

Tim Sullivan, assistant professor at the University of Pavia and ROSE School Faculty, has been awarded with the last edition of EGU Plinius Medal, assigned by the European Geosciences Union to recognize interdisciplinary research in natural hazards by young scientists.

The selection is in recognition of his outstanding contributions in the field of seismic hazards, where he has combined interdisciplinary skills related to seismic design, assessment and earthquake engineering dynamics, and knowledge of a wide range of material types and structural forms, to produce a large number of quality publications that significantly help in reducing the risks posed by earthquakes.

The award will be presented during the General Assembly of the Union, to be held during April 22-27, 2012, in Vienna.

Congrats, from all the ROSE School staff!
